  The guiding principle behind RENT A LABEL is that independent record labels, managers, and musicians should have access to the kind of knowledge and experience needed for the successful design and implementing of a promotion / marketing strategy. Founder BARRY LYONS served as a senior executive in promotion departments at  IRS Records, Chameleon, Giant, Polydor, Island and Sire/London before launching RENT A LABEL in January 2000. As such he played a key role in campaigns for artists such as R.E.M., Concrete Blonede, Fine Young Cannibals, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Rammstein, Van Morrison and others. These campaigns yeilded a plethora of gold & platinum sales awards; and a wealth of invaluable experience.
   Since starting RENT A LABEL, that experience has helped fuel campaigns for Ozzie Osborne, Def Leppard, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Shadows Fall, Lacuna Coil, Queensryche, Tony Iommi, Peter Frampton, and many others.
